Meet Adam: General Contractor and Handyman
Builder. Problem-solver. Finish carpenter. Co-owner of Adam’s HomePros.
Adam’s love for building started early. His dad was (and still is) a skilled woodworker who builds custom kitchen cabinets—and Adam grew up watching him work, surrounded by the smell of sawdust and the sound of tools in motion. Long before he ever picked up a tool belt of his own, he was absorbing the fundamentals of craftsmanship and the pride that comes from creating something with your hands. Many of the woodworking skills he uses today were first learned in that family workshop.
Adam didn’t start his professional career in construction—he earned a degree in English, served as a journalist in the Army Reserve, and spent years working in IT and software support. But even while working in the corporate world, he felt the pull toward building things with his hands.
In his off hours, Adam completely restored a house—learning every system and every trade along the way. Then he went one step further and built a home from scratch, taking the time to understand each phase of construction from the inside out. He didn’t want to just supervise work—he wanted to know how to do it, and do it well.
That mindset is at the core of how Adam runs projects today. Before launching Adam’s HomePros, he made sure he had touched nearly every part of the building process firsthand. Today, he brings that full-spectrum experience to every job, combining hands-on skill with clear communication and deep respect for how homes are built—and lived in.
Adam still does all the finish carpentry on our jobs, and you’ll find him on-site, tool belt on, problem-solving in real time. Whether the job is big or small, he approaches it with the same care, curiosity, and pride in a job well done.
Adam is currently licensed as a Residential Building Contractor in Minnesota (License # BC807995).
Meet Anna: Project Manager
Coordinator. Resourceful. Designer. Co-owner of Adam’s HomePros.
Anna grew up on a family resort in northern Wisconsin, where building things wasn’t a hobby—it was part of daily life. Her father was a builder and designer of the cabins on their property, and he even taught classes in traditional log building. From a young age, Anna was watching construction happen, learning how to solve problems, and spending a lot of time wandering the aisles at Fleet Farm and Menards.
That early experience turned into a lifelong passion for homes and how they work.
Later in life, Anna fulfilled a dream by restoring a home from top to bottom, working right alongside Adam to bring it back to life. Not long after, the two of them built a lakeside cabin from scratch near her family’s farm—another dream made real.
Anna holds a degree in English and an MFA in Creative Writing, and she’s also a working artist with a studio at the Northrup King Building. But she’s just as comfortable on the job site as she is in the studio. She handles project management, client communication, and finish details, while also jumping in for demo, painting, and assisting Adam with trim work.
What Anna loves most is taking on a full-scale remodel, managing the moving parts, and building relationships with clients and subcontractors. She brings thoughtfulness, organization, and a strong sense of design to everything she touches.
